D, should be also right because patients with chicken pox assumed that they could also have encephalitis if a proper test(lumbar p.) is done.
I have talke to infectious disease specialist.
Any insight?

Its is E. Even though VZV virus causes Reye's syndrome, the incidence is just 0.1%. Hence the most common complication would be secondary Bacterial infection due to poor primary protection (skin is broken) and low immunity due to malnutrition (kids dont eat much when they are sick).
