44yr fem brot to ER 40 min aftr being stabbed in left groin........bp=128/84......pr=100/min....rr=16/min
examn of wound shows small hematoma and no ext bleedng
poplitl and pedal pulses palpble in left lower extrmty below injury.............laceratns af femoral artry and vein repaired
2days postop she has sev progressive pain and swelling of leg frm knee down............what is the cause of her new s/s

A-arterial embolism
B-compartment synd
C-lymphatic disruption from injury
D-thrombosis of femoral vein
E-wound hemorrage

how kan it be compartment syndrome when the injury involve the upper thigh and do u guys think the syndrome will develoop in lower limb.. i think its thrombosis as there is a hx of vessel repair as well

could be lymphatic or venous disruption..how do we differentiate?
definitely not
embolism/comp syn/wound hge

lymphatics take time to produce sweeing... so i ll still stick to my dx....
