ya it is anterograde amnesia.in alkoholics.can any one explain the different types of amnesia in short .thnks in advance

1)Anterograde=Antero = after
inability to remember things that occurred after a CNS insult (no new memory). 2)Korsakoff™s amnesia is a classic anterograde amnesia that is caused by thiamine deficiency (bilateral destruction of the mammillary bodies), is seen in alcoholics, and is associated with confabulations. 3)Retrograde =Retro = before. inability to remember things that occurred before a CNS insult. thank you for the qs, i was amnesic too about amnesia source FA. |
