International Medical Graduates

International Medical Graduate (IMG) applicants must be ECFMG certified, graduated from medical school within the past 8 years and have a complete ERAS file. Traditionally, applicants who have USMLE (Step 1 and 2) Two-Digit Scores over 95 with prior clinical training in the United States have been most successful. IMG applicants with these exceptional qualifications account for 1-3 interns per year. UPMC Medical Education Program sponsors the J-1 Visa if accepted.

They have only 6 position so the odds of getting in there seems lesser. They accept only J1 visas. They do not sponsor H1 visas at all. They do not give any prematches.

Well last year my friend with scores of 92/90/cs result awaited/no usce.....got an interview call from upmc shady side......though he didnt match ther in the end.....
