In atrophic vaginitis there is atrophy, loss of the fat around labia and the skin is dry because of the hormonal changes, just like skin of very old person leading to scratching and discomfort
Tx Estrogen cream

In Lichen Sclerosis the skin around the vagina and labia are lichenified meaning the skin is thin and is like parchment paper(stiff paper like) and its bit silvery in color
Tx Testosterone cream

One more entity got to be here Vulvar squamous dystrophy or Hyperplasia here skin is thickened and cartilage like in contrast to the above where it is thinned and looks like Lichen but it is thick and cartilage like and is similar prsentation with pruritus

Tx Flourinated corticosteroid cream
