In My opinion yes but it depends on programs

it all depends on different factors...........if u get the step 3 result before the interviews u get more calls and more chance to match (ofcourse a single iv is enough for match), if u get during the iv season and their slots open then u may be a good candidate to take in, if u get after your interview then it can add credit to your file especially if they were wondering whether or not to include u in their rol.
The most imp thing in this whole process is luck.........even with less score u may be better off

It won't hurt you to have it, and it definitely can help you. I got two invitations in one day after my Step 3 results were released (I didn't know them yet then but the programs did). Still you have to pass it one way or another and if it can be of help why not give it a try?
