1. the rule is we should not aggravate the pain of the pt, but if one has RUQ pain of abd, and we first palpate the pt and know that he is in pain, but we need to do Murphy's sign. my q is shall we do it?
2. is it acceptable to abbreviate without to w/o, with to w?
3. is the paper to write PN the same size with that of FA?
any input is appreciated.

u should illicit murphys sign. ONCE and only ONCE....warn the patient prior and do not repeat
