future for disabled candidates in mle - raman1357

i m a physically impaired img.
i m suffering from limb girdle muscular dystrophy.
i was hesitant to ask this but
i want to know do i hav any future in usmle. like if i clr my steps
do u think i can manage to carry on with the residency clinical or nonclinical.
any reply will b appreciated

Sorry to hear about the problem you have.
I personally feel there shouldnt be any problem for you to get into nonclinical branches but withregard to clinical branches I heard training is very strenuos in US , so honestly I dont know. I can only comment about circumstances in Europe where I work where they are very positive about disabled people and are very encouraging but in US i am not sure , I think the people best placed to answer this are the ones who are doing residency , so you may expect better responses if u post this on STEP3 site.
