How helpful is step3 if score reported in Oct - hamza

Hi, I have few questions regarding step 3

1- Does it actually helps u to earn more interviews or its only useful for H1 visa

2- If i take exam in Aug/ Sep and result updated in October, Wud it still be helpful.

3-If my application is updated in October wud all progz i apply automatically come to know (Even the ones who have already gone through my application).

4- I have good score on step1 ( 91) and poor score on step 2 (79, 2nd attempt). Passed CS.... I m just unsure wht progs to apply for coz of my score range as most prog as consistent score requirement.

Docs i wud highly regard anyhelp. I M REALLY CONFUSED ABT STEP 3 THING AND HOW APPLICATIONS R UPODATED.

Yes it definitely helps if u have passed ur step 3. Program is assured that u r done with all ur steps. It will fetch u more interviews.
Ur score will be automatically released to all programs to which u apply if u select the option of transmit USMLE score transcript while applying thru ERAS.
