T3RU - T3 resin uptake, or T3RU, is a measurement of the amount of free T3 available, and not bound by thyroid binding globulin (TBG) in the plasma.
T3RU levels are HIGH in: hyperthyroidism, nephrotic syndrome, and renal failure. T3RU levels are LOW in: acute hepatitis, hypothyroidism, and pregnancy. you can also see the presentation: http://courses.washington.edu/med665/doc...-31-06.ppt
