(A) Pseudotumor cerebri, or benign intracranial hypertension, is characterized by increased intracranial pressure, normal or small ventricles, and normal cerebrospinal fluid. Symptoms include headache, irritability, nausea, disturbances of visual acuity, dizziness, and tinnitus. Often, it is a manifestation of hypervitaminosis A.
