What infections can cause Type I diabetes?

i was interested in this q also, but could not find any conlcusive answer...many sources say it is thought to be a post infection autoimmune insulitis
anyone else please help..

Ok. Please know that there is Type 1A and Type 1B. A is caused by autoimmun and B is caused is not associated by autoimuno.

Here is the answer:

According to Robbins path: the following viruses are associated with type 1

1. Coxsackie B
2. Mumps
3. Measles
4.rubella
5.infectious mononucleosis
