Qtn about an LOR ! - 2008sep
#1
Hello Guys,

Apart from an MD who else can be a LOR writer ?

In case of MPH can we have a LOR from a PhD ?

Also can we have a LOR from a Advanced Practice Nurse who is equivalent to MD as they run the show behind the scenes and are qualified to write prescription and orders as well ?

Need honest inputs only !

best is to get an LoR from an MD only, most doctors have "god" complex, and will not even look at the LoRs provided by non MDs, and it is probably correct as well as there is no way a RN or D Pharm can comment on ur clinical skills and medical judgement

but RN's are different from APN's

RN's cannot write orders , prescription... while an APN's can .
