meningitis -
complete physical exam ---
head elevation , pulse ox . iv access, iv ns, cbc, bmp, pt, ptt, blood culture, ua, u c&s, phenergan, acetaminophen, iv ceftrixone, iv vanco , lp, fluid for cell count protein, g, gm stain, fungal , c&s
move patient to icu
npo , complete bed rest, urine output, vital q 2, pulse ox q 4, pneumatic compression stockings, cbc/bmp repeat next day
and then we will change the ab as per sensitivity and d/c and manage the patient as he improves
