Does PT increase during Aspirin treatment? I know BT does, and PTT does not, but not sure about PT?

ASPIRIN WILL AFFECT THE PLATELETS..SO WHY THE PT?

its not a cougalation defect.....only platelet aggragation defect

Yes at high doses it does increase prothrombin time. (kaplan and uw)

Aspirin at low doses irreversibly inhibits platelet aggregation and at high doses increases PT

yes this is true.. high doses of asprin (650 mg and 1,300 mg) have an effect on the PT.. not sure of mech, will do some research and post findings (if any..)

i think in high doses it inhibit prothrombin!!!!

but however when a question comes it is almost always about the antiplatelet activity of the aspirin unless they specify the high dose!!
