asking for LOR - dereck

I will shadow a PD for 1 week.
Can I ask him for a LOR?

I think u can??? Ask politely if he/she would like to write a letter for u as u r very much interested in doing IM residency...

A week is not enough...at least 1 month minimum

if u shadow him all day everyday for a week, go ask for sure .... use this opportunity to know someone else in the clinic, maybe u get to shadow another one ... dont be shy, the worst is they say no, nothing to loss for u ...
