I just got my call through: They will send me the fingerprint cards. SSN is not needed for cA letter application. No extra charge for renew neaxt year. That's what I got.

Dr.hyk109 , I think the fingerprinting for PTAL has to be done in CA itself. I was also put through the voice mail service, but they responded to e-mail.It is better to apply with your SSN ,since rules changed in Jan , this year. Or you can apply if you are confident of producing your SSN within the next one year.The application will only be processed when results of Step 1 & 2CK are available & documents are complete.

U can request finger print cards from CA med board,go to nearest POLICE STATION..fe w do it for free or charge $5.00.As far as i know without an SSN its waste starting d procedure(pls do confirm by calling them).They'll NOT call u back,u call them n findout.

Finger prints can be taken at any Police facility,thry are taken at specialised centers in california which makes process faster.

raptor22, For CA letter, they need the transcript and L2, L5 form are enclosed, sealed and sent directly from our medical school, righ? Can I send the original L2, L5 without sealed?
It will take longer time if they want to get our document directly from our medical school.
