The lymphatic drainage of the testes is a favorite topic on test questions
The testes arise high in the abdomen and then descend downward, taking their blood and lymphatic supply with them. The first set of lymph nodes to which lymph from the testes drain are the para-aortic nodes, near where the testicular artery arises. This is not just an examiner's gem, however, since testicular cancer occasionally presents as an epigastric mass.

The deep inguinal nodes (choice A) drain the superficial inguinal nodes
.
The external iliac nodes (choice B) drain the deep inguinal nodes and parts of the uterus and
cervix.
The internal iliac nodes (choice C) drain the bladder, male internal genital glands, and parts of the uterus and cervix.

The superficial inguinal nodes (choice E) drain the buttocks, lower limbs, anterior abdominal wall, and perineum.
