i am not a surgeon, but as far as im concerned none of them are treated with laparoscopy, exploratory laparotomy for both,,if the wounds go beyond the perinoteum is considered that it has penetrated therefore it requires expl laparotomy

It depends on the depth of stab.If peritoneum has been breeched -exp lapro.
If not breeched, local exploration

ok
so if Pt is Unstable (suspect hollow organ perforation.....) -- expl laparotomy regradless of stab or gun shot wound to abd

if Pt is Stable --- are u guys saying that
---> laparoscopy (local exploration if clinically can't determine if there is organ damage r not and laparoscopy more suitable since Pt is Hemodynamically stable???
