Hi I m 2003 grad. Need visa. I am Canadian citizen with scores of 88 , 79 (2nd) CS pass and Step 3 86. I have 0ne year externship exp in Canada in Psychiatry and have one publication too. I have also passed Canadian board exams.

Inspite of this NOT EVEN ONE CALL although i applied only in Psychiatry. I check my email after every half an hour. I am feeling like I have lost it and sometimes i feel that my life is a tragedy. I have no energy in my body. I donno wht it takes to be there Sad

Is there anyone with scores close to mine who got any IV call? Wht u guys think wht cud be the reason? What shd i do? PLS PLS PLS help !

Hey guess what?...................Im a GC with similar scores and yet no iv but 30 rejs so far.

I am now thinking of 2nd options...............

hi lexar......i am also a canadian citizen seeking residency in the USA........my credentials are similar to urs.....i have 5 calls (4 IM, 1FM).........
it's kind of strange that u have no ivs......is ur application complete? LORs? PS? CV?.....
i think US clinical experience in psych, and USLORs might help u improve ur chances for ivs........this year's match is very tough........i hope u receive some ivs, as there is still some time left for ivs. All the best my friend.

Glad to know that u got good calls. I donno whts wrong with me or its my luck.
Whts ur graduation year? Do u think that Canadian exp is not recognized in USA and i might need need to do some externship in US?

i am a june 2007 grad. i think canadian experience is not recognized well in USA. Doing an externship or obobservship in US hospitals will definatly help u increase ur chances........did u apply for a residency in Canada since u passed the Canadian exams?

Yes, i think ur yea of graduation is a reason. R u a canadian graduate. I am an IMG. Yes I am applying for canadian match too but its very hard for IMGZ.

Out of ideas !
