In management of suprathyroid hypothyroidism, why hydrocortisone be given before replacing thyroid hormone? thanks.

metabolism is slow..when u give thyroid hormone first, u increase metabolism, but because the patient is lacking adrenal hormones, he/she cant handle the increased metabolism and u precipitate a adrenal crisis
