help ..how to go about with usmle - nepson

hello..new to this forum and new to anything that is usmle. i am an IMG . completed mbbs in 2003 then did PLAB but it is not working out for me here in Uk so am planning on usmle...any idea how to go about it and what time frame i should have coz i want to qualify for 2009 residency programme. my basic science knowledge is crap but i think i am alright in clinical knowlede.
any suggestions to help would be highly appreciated......

nepson,welcome to the forum.
you hv enough time to qualify for 2009 residency so plan ahead properly. approx,it takes 5to6 mnths for each step but it depends on person to person. except for step2cs just one mnth is enough. so for step1 gather kaplan lecture notes, videos,firstaid 2007,aft u finish reading them twice subscribe for a q bank either usmleworld qbank or usmlerx.there are others too kaplan q book,kaplan q bank.do the questions more.and then before exams give nbme to assess yourself.. hope this helps.
