when we did observership in cleveland clinic ohio , do they give us at the end a letter of recommendation ?

I didn't do an observership there , that's why I am asking .I just want to know if someone do his observership there or somewhere else , do the program director or an attending give you a letter of recommendation or not ?
or do they give you a paper stating that you did an observership there ?
