Ok wawa, if you suspected your dad have a GERD with just the sx. like what you mentioned.
i think, you can Mx.him as a very mild, intermittent sx: _ avoid lying down couple hours after meal, increase bed head, avoid food cause increase acid ( spicy, coffee), fatty food, if he is fat has to lose weight. _ can be used H2-blocker or antacid for him
