Women suspected of having PE, the V/Q scan was negative what do you do next?

Angiogram.

do nothing, pe excluded

Do spiral CT... If -ve then do as pacemaker said which is the gold standard but invasive.

Unless pt was post-op then next step after -ve V/Q scan will be venous U/S.

yes angiogram is invasive..so ,it should be avoided,if diagnosis cud be made thru V/Q.

If you suspect PE do ABG and CXR
Give heparin
V/Q scan and so on.
If from the CXR lung was abnormal (destroyed) skip V/Q and go for CT.
