hi guys, i matched to a program which sponcer both h1b and j1 visa. now they have given me option to choose from as i have cleared step 3.
i want to come back to india after my residency and fellowship. can u plz help me make a decision which visa should i opt now....j1 or h1b. thx in advance!

i hADASKED FOR J1 AT TIME OF INTERVIEW SINCE I DID NOT GAVE STEP 3 BY THAT TIME. but now since i have option for both i am really confused. plz help.

It's your choice. Still I feel H-1 is better if you want to stay here, but if you have decided to go back it does not matter, some say it is easier to get fellowship on J-1.

if u take
j1 .....better chances of getting in to fellowships, but then waiver has to be done if u change ur mind in the future h1 - more stable visa...u can keep ur options open...but tougher for univs to sponsor h1 for fellowships although......not impossible........ good luck |
