and I forgot to add insurance...that's yes for a first time driver in the vicinity of $1000 for 6mo and a lot of companies ask for he first six months up-front... and renters insurance also (about $20 a month)...So even les money left...I wouldn't sing a contract for $1500/mo rent and no other source of income.
Maybe look for a smaller place and save money. You may be able to buy a small home or a condo after a year or so and then you'll be paying mortgage (mine is $1700 now) and you are making an investment instead of filling somebody else's pockets!
