how true is this,paediatrics or medicine? -

they say ,amongst the img"s most of them getting into internal medicine are guys & those getting into paediatrics are girls. how true is this?which of the two feilds require more scores as compared to the other?i just want to know in general .,as i"m confused , i dont know, which of these two feilds should i send maximum applications to?

it's probabaly because there are more girls interested in pediatrics... not because of any score requirement. Both fields are available for IMG's
