only person we know of is Darkhorse who read Swanson cover to cover....others read few chapters.
majority of test takers read Crush..but it does nto have CCS
FA is more complete along with 100 CCS.
How about Step BOOSTER ? sir steve is strongly promoting this book.
For myself ? I have a plan to read swanson, FA and crush..all three if time permits.

But if you give me the hard choice to pick up one, may be I will choose FA...but this is just my personal opinion.

OH my God!!! lol

hey, yes I like the step Booster book but it's not the same as the FA or the crush book. I think it works best as the last month review before the exam kind of book.
between FA and crush, I like crush better... the only thing I didn't like about crush is lack of details... so to be honest, I didn't study much from it, but I would take it over the first aid.
I wish FA for step 3 was half as good as the one we had for step 1!! that one is like a golden record!
The USMLE Step Booster as I said is good but not for looking up topics and diseases... just a good last month or two review by means of MCqs, I guess it can be compared to dejavu or dejareview books. It's very good I thought.
If I had to choose only one book, I would take the Swanson... for completeness sake.
what about the Kaplan family? why aren't you considering those?
