42 yr old evaluated......medial right elbow - azsmu
#1
42 yr old woman is evaluated because of 4 months of medial right elbow and forearm pain and associated numbness and tingling in her right 4th and 5th digits. On exam, there is no swelling or redness of elbow, forearm, or hand, and full range of motion is intact at the elbow. There is no exacerbation of symptoms with shoulder or neck movements with resisted wrist flexion or extension. She has slight wasting of the hypothenar muscles and tenderness medially at the elbow. Percussion over the tender area at the elbow causes tingling that radiates to the 4th and 5th digits, but doesn't produces symptoms when repeated.

which of the following is most likely cause of her hand and elbow pain?

1: C7 radiculopathy
2: Carpal tunnel syndrome
3: Cubital tunnel syndrome
4: Medical epicondylitis
5: Saturday night palsy
