Univ of new mexico rejection IM - caspase84

Just got rejection rom Uni of New Mexico for IM. The reason stated is lack of signficant us clinical experience. i have almost a year of usce including observerships and an externship...i dont know what these guys want... they dont offer usce and dont think what we have is enough...


Anybody else with same rejection???

You should have checked their website. Generally they mention that they don't count observership as clinical experience. I didn't apply there.

I got a reject too, but I have no externship.

caspase84, If you have externship, do give them a call. Nothing wrong with it. Sometimes they may make a mistake.
drabcd76 may be you should read the post, (TIA may be), just kidding.

Its a university program, and they only take 1 or 2 exceptional IMG ( if at all) and the population is spanish-speaking.
