I have applied in 40 programs, IM and peds i have heard from my interviews, which are 8 programs, but have little rejections, only 3. I was wondering if the programs that are not interested will let me know or am i still being considered??

There are many programs that never send out of rejections because they don't have enough "man power". Another possibility is that since many ppl will cancel their interviews near the end, programs are holding the qualified applicants in case a slot is available, you have to call to find out unless the porgram specifically warned you not to call, otherwise it's reasonable to call.
