how do u manage taking notes. - mirsub

I was wondering in short time u can write only imp things rest u have to remember or there is any other way of taking notes and keep eye contact.,because notes imp for patient note.anyone has some input.thanks.

1st , before beginning to ask questions to the pt , tell him, 'i need to as u a few qs regarding yr illness, i hope u dont mind if i make some notes in between' then u dont have to ask pt again and again. but then, keep the note wrting to a minimu. just do it when u are writing about the Rx the pt is taking ie name and dosages of drugs. otherwise make an attempt to keep everything in yr mind.

and , if u can, while making notes, try to nod yr head 1-2 times. that will make the pt feel that u are still listening to him. this one takes some practise because its nothing but acting
