Hi
I am employed in the US on H!-B and am sponsoring my parents visitor visa to visit me. My dad had visited USA back in January 1977 for the ECFMG program and had to return back in a short while for personal reasons. Unfortunately he has surrendered his old passport and does not remember his visa details. Now when filling in DS-156 I need to give the type of visa that was issued and the issue date. Can someone tell me what status people were given when they entered US in the late 70s. Any help shall be greatly appreciated
