Anyone know when we have to take step 3 during residency. is the deadline end of first yr or we can take it in second yr.?

So i guess maybe i should start studying for it and just take it.... does score matter once you match into a program?

smileyimg,i did not take step 3 too,do u think it is damn imp for getting more interviews and it increases your chances of match even if u don't need visa.

sorry fmasoud... don't know too much about step 3, but i think if you take it before the match you have to get a good score, but i don't know if i need a good score for it, if the match is over.

step 3 is a big plus for IVs.....score does matter in a different way...
i mean if you have step1 and 2 in high scores then its OK to have score in 70s for step3 ... but if ur step 1 and 2 scores are 70s and step 3 is also in 70s then it will hurt ur over all look... so i will say if u hav bad scores in step 1 and 2 then dont go for step3 unless u are very prepared.......
