Biochemistry pointers - itsaman2009

I just started reading BCH and I am wondering if I am using the right approach,as I am using only the KAPLAN Book. The thing is- It appears to be so difficult when actually it shouldn't be! Please can anyone kindly advice me on the right approach,the txts to use etc.
