Can we break eye contact during PE e.g. listening chest,checking pulses etc.
Or eye contact should be maintained during PE maneuvers...

i am finiding it difficult to maintain eye contact during PE.
plsss help....esp CS passed guys....

i just gave my cs yesterday

i did break the eye contact during writing a few notes and while examination

dont loose yr sleep over it, its not possible to maintain eye contact for each second u spend in the room , besides its actually good if u break the eye contact for some time, otherwise the SP (escpecially if it is a pretty lady ) will get uncomfortable too

maintaining a eye contact does not mean that you have to keep looking into patient's eyes all the time, it means whenever patient is looking at you, you are not getting embarrassed or shy and break the contact with him/her, YOU RESPOND BACK, by giving a comforting glance.It is only momentarily,when there are some moments like you have to make a point, other wise one should stay unperturbed, eye contact or no eye contact, yes one cannot speak with SP with your back turned on to him/her.
