Hi Guys,
I will be applying for J1 visa shortly. I want to know if there are any new restrictions or criterias being implemented by the govt.?
Also do tell me what is the scenario of refusal of J1 with completed application. Is there any specified no. of quota for J1?

hi dreeem...
i was just curious...what can u do to rule out the immigration intent thing??
i came to US 3 years back on studnet visa...grdauted in june 2007..and right after got a job on h1 visa till now...alongside took my steps...and matched this yeat...
not i want to apply for j1 visa...so u think my being on h1 visa for last 1.5 years will affect my j1 application?

Congrats for matching. Relax. My friend just attanded interview and he was in same situation. He got it. So do not worry. Just think of some good reasons for going back to your country. BTW.., which program did you match?

yes immigration intent matters if visa you are applying is non-immigrant visa other wise for dual intent visa like H1 , it doesn't matter.
