taking step1 in india - skhan

hello everybody! i wanted to clear my doubt regarding the fact tht im not an indian national ,can i take my step1 exam in india (hyderabad) n wat r the documents required for step1 application form kindly guide me if anybody is sure abt my query .

change ur ecfmg region to asia. u just need ecfmg permit, prometric permeit, and ur identification. ex, passport or id

you need to go to ecfmg and apply for the exam..it will generate form 186/183..get it signed by ur school dean and send it forth..and yes u can take the exam anywhere..nationality doesnt matter..

thanx a lot mledreamz for guiding me but i guess ths wud lead a tough time as i''l have to go back to my home country for getting it signed n it will take time Sad oh God usmle itself is so complicated n for ths situation tht im having its even harder

hey all u guys out there who r not taking step1 from their home country ( taking step 1 from a country other than their homecountry) wat do u do for getting ur application signed by dean can i send it by mail to my family (in my home country ) to get it signed by the dean ????????????/ is it possible n nice wat to get thru my prob?.......... as its really not very easy for me to go back just for dean's signature anyone any suggestions ..... mledreamz do u have any idea

hey slick my region is asia im from pakistan married to an indian national n staying in india for last 2 yrs on the basis of long term residency visa so my prob is tht if ecfmg application has to be signed by dean .... then i have to go back to pakistan n its not as easy n simple... kindly guide me
