Is ststin decrease mortality?except of the fact that statin decreaseldl? I known for aspirin and B-blocker they decrease mortality and nitrares is for pain and his vasodilation effect.

I know that if a person has presents with an acute coronary sdr, statin is part of the initial mgt. Then u do the lipid profile. If it's greater than 70, u continue statin indefinitely.
For a person with stable angina and smoking/ DM/PVD/AS, the target ldl is same as for Acute Cor. Sdr.
