ccs- Motor vehical accident with bradycardia-imp q - devd
#1
guys in the uw explination-
the intial emergency order does not inlcude an EKG as we had in other cases of uw with chest pain as the chief complaint viz unstable angina,pericardites (the interactive cases).

so in a case of bradycardia can we order ekg along with other emergency orders & then do the focussed PE.
nxt eveluate the result of the ekg & then
as part of order 2: cxr,xray cervical spine,iv fentanyl,atropine,tc pacemaker,cardiology consult.

If we do it this way we can save a few minutes. The uw does not include ekg in the emergency orders,so we had to wait till the results of order no 2 to start the t/t.

in other cases of uw they order the ekg with the emergency orders it self.

let me know

or as per the rule treat without ordering any tests only on the P/E itself.
