while we attend our interviews in nov /dec.., can we manage doing observership /externship during those months?? or we have to sit idle at home, waiting for interviews? i mean whats the general trend? i know it can be helpful in an interview,we can say that we are not sitting idle,we are gaining some usce!

Yes you can continue to do observerships in between interview season- depends on how many interviews you get and are spacing it.

During interview season most rotations fully expect you to miss some time for interviews. They understand that your purpose is to obtain a training position. Fortunately, on the vast majority of rotations, medical students are there for education, and when they are gone for whatever reason it is not a problem for the rotation.

Good luck!
