I am on H4 visa. I just got my H1 b approval. How can I transfer my visa status? I hold an Indian passport. Do I have to go out of country to get it stamped? If yes, then where? India or canada ?

yes you have to go out of country to get it stamped..
best place to have it is ur home country..India

yeah India or some where , but u don't have to be tensed , when ever u leave the country then u have to do this until then with the approval letter you can stay here without any problem, i mean u are legAl. i got from f1-h4 , and same for my wife she got her f2->h4 she is without stamping , since she did not go to India after the approval. but she is legAl ,
