ABsortiometry Z score T Score - acha
#1
What are the treatments and diagnosis depending on the Z score or T score on Absortiometry?

Can anybody explain how the scores go.

I know that a dx of osteoporosis is when a T score is less than -2.5 and should have treatment with alendronate .

What does it mean less than -2.5 (-2.3 or -2.7)

67 y/o wouman concerned about osteoporocis Z score was -1.6 , what is the treatment?

it is in general values like 2, 2.5, 3. T stands for number of standard deviation i.e. variation of individual values compared to the central representative value. If it is less than 2.5 SD than the standard value then the patient should be treated.
