Dear friends, in FirstAid & some of the clinical videos, they do Auscultation first, followed by Percusion & palpation... But in Clinical manuals ( Hutchison's), the order is Insp, Palpa, Percus and Auscul. Which is correct ..?

Not specific for Abdomen. Even in CVS/RS examination, after Ispection they do Auscul , followed by percusion..! But in our clinical practice, the order is Isp, Palp, Percu & Auscul at the last! Agree.?

1. for cases not rel to cvs, resp....... only auscultr of ht and lungs
2. cvs and respi cases................... insp, palp, percussion, auscultr
3. for abd.................................... .insp, auscultr, palpation, percussion

Fine. Any specific reason for this change of sequence in Abdomen ?

yes when you touch the abdomen,, bowel sounds increased.
