Atheroembolic Disease of Renal Arteries “ will present with Renal Failure and Big Toe Discoloration in Elderly Patients
Please can anyone explain that big toe discoloration phenomenon ?

as name defines,athero-EMBOLIC,so emboli (or fat chip )can dislogge in smallest arteries of feet can cause gangrene giving discoloration to big toe(like in Diabetic foot)

yep know that principle thromboembolus , but why the big toe ? By the way have U ever wondered why gouty athritis affect electively the big toe ?
