some say one of ur lor shud be from US native dr. is that true,having lor from foreign md practicing in us isn't enough?? pls clarify thank u

If he have an academic position (chairman, PD...) then no problem, otherwise it is better to avoid.

LOR from MD which is FMG certified by Board is just fine... unless you both share the last name Wink

sorry whom do u refer to , are u referring to the foreign md practicing in the us(attending or fellow consultants) OR US native MD? thanks

foreign working in us in an academic institution having a position is preffered, otherwise find a native one.

thanks maharesha, actually my former department head is now a consultant in private practice here in us, i have been shadowing 2 hospitalists and 1 private practitioner here in US ,where they all wrote me a LOR. is that worthy of doing from FMG practicing in us, @ maharesha?

If you dont have any other USA option, then it is ok, dont worry, it is still considered US letter.
