TIMA score - docholiday
#1
Any body know how to interpret the TIMA score?

You know, this thing:

Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction
Uses 7 criteria to help guide management of UA, since 15% of UA will progress to MI.
¢ Age > 65
¢ Positive cardiac enzymes
¢ > 2 episodes of chest pain in 24 hours
¢ Current use of ASA
¢ > 3 cardiac RF
¢ ST segment deviation
¢ Prior coronary stenosis > 50%

Each get a point, and I assume if the patient has enough points, send them to cath. But anyone out there know the numbers?

Yeah - I found that link earlier today, but it doesn't seem to work.

Ahhh...I suppose at this point it doesn't matter anyway. I'm going to battle tomorrow. I feel like I am going to get my ass kicked.

But its time to make a stand...

I was hoping that I wasn't going to need it. But thanks. At this point I think I'll take all the luck I can get.
