NE as Dobutamine cause vasodilatation which may worsen the situation. Of course you have to give IV first.

the differnece b/w dopamine and dobutamine is that dopamine cause peripheral vascular constriction. this is why it is not used in CHF where as dobutamine is used in acute CHF cos it dose not cause peripheral cascular constriction. i am not sure if it causes vasodilation as stated above though.

dobutamin effects beta1>beta2
ephedrine alpha1,2 b1 no effect on b2 so better in hypotension due to tca poising

doapmine cause renal vasodilation at low dose so good for RF
and periferal vasoconstriction at high dose so use for hypotension.
