Penicillin DESENSITIZATION in Neurosyphilis - baby_doc

What do they mean in Kaplan that "If the patient is allergic to penicillin, desensitization is the answer for neurosyphilis and pregnancy" ?

I don't understand what all this means.. can someone explain thoroughly?

give it to them little by little until you get the right dose....minimize the allergic response.

neurosyphilis and pregnancy are only casea where you must give penicilin even if they are allergic............after desensitization

why do u give a pregnant woman penicillin?

doxycyclin & amoxicillin can also be givn in non preg & needle phobic persons , pencillin being safest in preg is pref even when desinsitation required
